We had a lovely dinner at Belforte at the end of September. I had emailed ahead to secure one of their outdoor tables on their small patio that overlooks the ocean as we were celebrating our anniversary. But the weather was too cool and wet to sit outdoors. The atmosphere was romantic and cozy inside and our server was smiling and attentive. It was one of our very best meals of the trip and Belforte was my favorite restaurant in Vernazza. The standout dish was the Sea Bass in Salt. The whole fish is heavily covered in rock salt and baked. This makes the fish incredibly moist and tender (it does not make the fish salty). I had the Sea Bream and it was also delicious. Dinner with lovely house wine, a split first course and 2 entrees was E72.00. Highly recommend!
As a treat on our last night stay in Vernazza we ate at Belforte. Wow.....you cannot beat the views from this restaurant. My 2 daughters approached the owner and reserved a table at the edge with the most beautiful view you can imagine.
The food was fantastic. My youngest whom does not eat spagetti with anything other than butter had it with bolognese sauce and ate 2 plates of it.
My seafood platter was very very good.
